The best multi-country trip is usually the one that leaves something out.
Southeast Asia combines beautifully, but every extra border, airport and hotel change has a cost. The goal is not to collect countries. It is to build enough contrast that each place adds something different to the journey.
What I would get right first.
Two countries can be stronger than three
Especially around 12–18 days. Fewer transitions often create more actual travel experience.
Every border has a time cost
Even a short flight can consume much of a day once transfers, airports and hotel changes are included.
Make each country do a different job
Culture, countryside, city energy, history, food and beach should complement each other rather than repeat.
Finish at the right speed
Ending with a slower coast, river or small-city chapter can make the whole itinerary feel more balanced.
Start with the logic, then add the countries.

Tell me how many days you have, what matters most and the kind of pace you enjoy. I can help decide which combination is worth the border crossings.
